Here at the Woodlands International Fencing Club, we offer recreational and competitive fencing club lessons and fencing summer camps. Our fencing classes are interesting, exciting, and structured in a way to bring the best out of each individual, no matter the age. Our fencing summer camps and clubs are a perfect opportunity to get started with fencing, as they offer several days of perfectly constructed fencing classes in combination with fun and other social activities. That way your child will have fun and learn more than enough to realize if fencing is the right choice for it. Our fencing club lessons are perfectly safe. The level of injuries is extremely low compared to most other sports. Moreover, fencing will provide your child with an incredible stimulation of muscle memory and brain cells, which will make your kid super coordinated and smart. In addition, your child will also be noticeable more disciplined and focused. Furthermore, as you probably know, fencing is also an NCAA and an Olympic Sport, which means it offers serious opportunities for those who decide to try themselves on a professional level. There are also countless scholarship opportunities and it is no secret that fencing gives your child a competitive each and a greater chance of being accepted to the college of his or her choice. PRICES AND SCHEDULES FOR SEASON 2024-2025
YOUTH GROUP (8-12 y.o)
Monday (lessons and free fencing) 5pm – 6:30pm
Wednesday (group lesson) 5pm – 6:30pm
Saturday (organized free fencing) 10:00am – 11:30pm
$195 per month.
JUNIOR AND ADULT COMPETITIVE GROUP (13 y.o. and up)
Monday (lessons and free fencing) 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Tuesday (lessons and free fencing) 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Wednesday (group lesson) 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Thursday (lessons and free fencing) 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Friday (lessons and free fencing) 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Saturday (organized free fencing) 11:30am – 1:00pm
$250 per month
Individual lessons – from $50
Tournament fee for designated tournaments:
Regional tournaments and SYC (held in Texas) – $50 per person per event; National Tournaments – $100 per person per event.
Annual fee – $250
Beginner’s set: underarm protector, glove, mask, cord – market price, approximately $170
Beginners’ Fencing classes and lessons
Learn the basics of fencing while performing the latest and most innovative techniques. Students are given a brief overview of epee fencing including footwork, attacks, lines of parries and basic counter-offensive tactics. First class is free!
VETERAN FENCING LESSONS
If you have the agility to play a game of tennis or racquetball, you have the physical ability to learn how to fence.
ADVANCED FENCING CLASSES AND LESSONS
Grow your skills in bouts as you hone your game to a higher level of performance in private and group lessons. Become a true competitive fencer!
Individual (Private) Lessons
Integral part of a learning process. Learn and improve your fencing techniques, tactics and more one on one with the coach.
